These are some of the local restaurants and bars we have visited and come highly recommended for both food and service.

El Trasmallo de Agustino Restaurant (Torreguadiaro)

Situated next door to the Hotel Patricia with impressive views over the Mediterranean. Agustino's specialises in high quality fish and sea food as well as meat dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

El Trasmallo de Agustino - Downstairs (Torreguadiaro)

This is underneath Agustinos restaurant and is accessible from the beach. Go in the afternoon, as a break from the sun, for some chicken satay skewers and chips washed down with a couple of beers whilst looking over the beach and sea. Wonderful.

Rio Seco Restaurant (Torreguadiaro)

This restaurant offers traditional Andalucian cuisine and specialises in fresh fish and meat dishes. It has an indoor dining room as well as a terrace with views across the Mediterranean.

Laila Cafeteria (Torreguadiaro)

Straight opposite the apartment, always open for coffees and english breakfasts with Tapas restaurant and bar next door. Inside and outside seating, especially nice in the morning for that first cup of coffee. Very friendly staff.

Dolce Vita Restaurant (Torreguadiaro)

This Italian restaurant, straight opposite the apartments, next to the Sony shop, does pizzas and pasta as well as some specialist dishes. The Chicken Dolce Vita dish is especially good. As can be seen, there is seating both outside and in. Possible one of our favorite restaurants.

La VaRandah (Torreguadiaro)

This used to be the favorite for Sunday roasts, but has changed owners and moved up market. The food and wine although being rather expensive (€26 ish for a main course) is great, presentation is something out of the Master Chief TV program. Well worth a visit for a special occasion.

Other Restaurants in Torreguadiaro.

Just out of the village up a small road, past La VaRandah, opposite the flats is a nice Argentinean Restaurant, where you can sit out in their nice garden.

Our Favorite Bar is El Carmen (Wookies Bar) just down the road from Lailas. It is run by a great guy, who feeds you appetisers and snacks for free, the more you drink, the more food you get. Typical of Spanish hospitality.

The 'Ice Cream Cafe' (Torreguadiaro)

Well what can you say, it serves heaps of different flavoured Ice Creams, and in different sizes, try a different flavour every day !

Restaurante Transilvania (Pueblo Nuevo)

Situated in the new Sotovila area of Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro opposite the Lidl supermarket. This very smart restaurant has just opened, it specialises in pizzas, pasta, fresh fish and Transylvanian specialties.

Also in Pueblo Nuevo
An Argentinean restaurant towards the top of the town, serves nice steak.
Nice coffee bars in the main square. Good for chilling out and people watching following shopping trip to one of the several cheap supermarkets in the town.

Gibraltar.
There are many bars and restaurants in Gib. Some of our favorites are -
The Clipper Pub, in Irish Town, the road that runs parallel with Main Street. Excellent value home cooked food, the Chicken and Mushroom, and Steak and Ale pies are particulary nice. A Sunday roast is around £6.95. Cheap beer, £2.30 for Murphys Red. Nice atmosphere, good honest pub, multiple large tv screens for watching  football or the F1 racing on a Sunday afternoon.
The cafe on the opposite corner, Zagerallia, is nice for coffees and cakes.
The Indian restaurant in the newly built Ocean View, Izzi, gets good reviews, great situation, bit pricey, but the food is great, especially being able to sit outside on a warm evening.
O'Reilly's Pub also in Ocean View. Great ice creams at £4.95, reasonably priced beer, Murphys Red and Guiness amongst others.
